Thanks to land-virtually-anywhere capability and long range, the AtlanticRanger - part of the dreamsoarer family of aircraft - aims to change how we think about personal transportation for many journeys.
This will improve logistics in rural and isolated communities and reduce journey costs and carbon impact.
The aircraft glides down, eliminating fuel usage for often half the journey, while propulsive failure does not affect landing capability, on land or water. Polymorphing lifting elements enable soaring by thermalling in favourable or lift into high wind conditions, thereby eliminating or reducing fuel usage during climb.
